Talent Development Committee to conduct employment and further study survey of Macao higher education graduates

MACAU, September 23 - The Talent Development Committee, in collaboration with the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) and 10 higher education institutions in Macao, will conduct the 2026 Survey on the Employment and Further Study of Macao Higher Education Graduates from 25 September to 31 October. The target population comprises Macao graduates who have completed a higher education programme, locally or abroad, and are in their first, third or fifth year post-graduation.

The survey will be administered via a questionnaire, aiming to gather data on further study, employment, industry sectors, remuneration and other aspects from three cohorts of Macao graduates who completed their programme one year ago (graduates of the 2025/2026 academic year), three years ago (graduates of the 2023/2024 academic year), and five years ago (graduates of the 2021/2022 academic year). For Macao graduates who studied locally, the Talent Development Committee will distribute the questionnaire through the local higher education institutions from which they graduated, while for those who graduated abroad, the questionnaire will be distributed with the assistance of the DSEDJ. The survey will not request details such as respondents’ identification document numbers, financial status or account passwords. All data collected regarding employment and further study will be treated as confidential and used solely for statistical and research purposes.

Upon completion of the survey, the Talent Development Committee will collate the relevant data and analyse the employment sectors, remuneration, further education and training of graduates across various disciplines at different points in time. Such information will serve as a reference for student career planning and talent development policies, among others.
